AFRICA - A tricycle rider stabbed six Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA



A tricycle rider, on Monday morning stabbed six officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) following a squabble.
The incidence which happened on Allen Avenue, Ikeja area of the state caused a minor commotion as people took to their heels as blood was spilt. Trouble started
when some LASTMA officials stopped the rider, a Hausa man for not stopping at an intersection when the traffic light indicated red. During the ensuing argument the keke rider brought out a dagger and stabbed six of the officials, as others took to their heels on sighting what happened to their colleagues.
It took the emergence of area boys who seized the mallam and disarmed him, to restore some calm in the area. The suspect was later handed over to policemen who later arrived the scene, and took him away in handcuffs. The stabbed LASTMA officials were later rushed to a nearby hospital.
